how to not break your system:

1. read the arch news before doing upgrades
   (sometimes (rarely) there will be manual steps needed)

2. do upgrades often and use -Syuu to do them
   (avoid doing partial system upgrades)

3. use a backup tool like timeshift to make rollbacks easy
